It was a sugar-filled weekend, to be sure. On Saturday night, we were treated to a friend’s legendary cupcakes, with flavors such as chocolate, lemon and coconut.
On Sunday, I went to a cultural cookie swap. I made brownies that were very roughly based on this recipe. I’m always a little afraid of putting my European friends into a sugar coma with American dessert recipes, but the brownies seemed to go over well. We also enjoyed some Girl Scout Samoas, Berlinerkranser and Austrian Vanilla Kipferl.
